This web site contains image galleries that represent the photographic interests of Mark Slonecker.  Though initially a landscape and nature photographer, Mark has lately been enjoying more people oriented work with an emphasis on studio portrait photography.  Through his photography, Mark attempts to portray images that visibly and emotionally link us to the God created beauty in our world, whether a majestic nature scene or the sweet innocence of a child.  With formal training in science and the field of optics, Mark has an appreciation for the quality of light in his photography.  His nature images are captured either in the early dawn of just before sunset when the light is radiant.  In the studio, Mark makes use of multiple strobe lighting to create the right mood and to bring out a persons true personality.  An explorer at heart, Mark enjoys the adventure of finding that special place and moment in time when the light and subject cooperate to create a memorable image.

Mark uses Canon digital cameras, Canon L-lenses, and White-Lightning studio strobes for his photography.
